I have met multiple youngsters and people who are always chasing dream company without being knowing what they will do in the dream company.
If you will ask them why you want so ; sometime I get answers like I will do anything company will offer but the dream is to join the company. I don’t deny the fact that everyone likes to be part of a big and successfully organization as there are lot of advantages that comes in the form of perks, incentives, health insurances and compensations.BUT there are lot of challenges coming with these benefits and that translates into the term no job-satisfaction, no work-life balance, frustration, and other damaging behaviors because if your passion, interest and expertise is not aligning with the work you are doing; It will not give you pleasure for long and you will start getting exhausted with little work, start compromising with the job to keep your paychecks coming because now your “dream company ” is driving you and at some point of time you will be looking for changes in the quest of a job which can provide you all that which your last dream company did not.
But this will definitely not help you grow in long term and provide you mental peace.So it is my strong recommendation to do full research when you are looking for opportunities and career. Talk to your superiors, your elders and the people who are already working or have worked with the company .
Yes it is truly said that “you will learn once you will start doing it” .But the work done will be definitely more appreciable, efficient and enjoyable if you will do it out of passion or your expertise and will never feel brain-hogging. Your brain will always feel light and happy and thus you will live happily for long.There are numerous scientific studies to back this up.
I know there are big brands who are so reputed with their compensations, facilities and perks that you land-up making them your dream company .Joining them is never discouraged but my personal suggestion will be to be flexible enough to change your dreams whenever you want and don’t stick with just one dream.
So once again, I am encouraging readers to “Seek for dream job rather dream company”
